Competition Reminders
ETTIQUETTE:
- Do not communicate with the competition staff! The only exception is to purchase merchandise and join the workshop. Any questions MUST be asked by Brandon or Juliana.
- We are not purchasing any photos/videos for Access Broadway. You are welcome to purchase your own. (For Hall of Fame, DO NOT purchase photos/videos -- they have already been purchased.)
- No photos/videos of the stage during competition. This can lead to us being disqualified.
- Keep it positive! Don't talk negative about any dance, dancer, studio etc.
ARRIVAL:
- When the schedule is available, we will also provide call-times for groups. Hair and make-up must be largely finished when you arrive so the dancers can focus on warming up, reviewing routines and potentially performing early. If you are commuting in, leave time for heavy traffic.
WHAT TO BRING:
- DCC Apparel for Dancers -- please wear Dance Company apparel if possible. Otherwise wear neutral athletic wear. Zip-up jackets are great because they act as a costume cover before going on stage.
- Make-Up and Hair Products for last minute touch-ups.
- Shoes and tights. Bring your extra, old shoes and tights in case of emergency. (Yes, even the ones with the torn soles).
- Water Bottles.
- Healthy snacks that can not damage costumes. Do not eat anything out-of-the-ordinary before going on stage.
- Well-rested, confident dancers! And audience members who are ready to watch their dancers do what they love.
- Any other in case of emergency needs: ibuprofen, ice packs, sewing kits, rhinestones etc. Juliana, Katie and I travel light at competition because we are constantly running around.
