Studios A and B are separated by a retractable wall. When open, the combined studios (approx. 2000 sq ft) is the size of a professional stage. Our hallway is lined with bench seating with cubby holes underneath for dancers to store their belongings. Our hallway also has two dressing rooms. |

Brandon Harneck
Artistic Director
Brandon Harneck graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2012 with his BA in Dance. During his performance career, Brandon served as company dancer for Thodos Dance Chicago, under the direction of Melissa Thodos, and later ArtLabJ, under the direction of Joori Jung. Brandon has also performed with Grand Valley Dance Ensemble, Dance in the Annex, Momentum, Opera Grand Rapids, The Grand Rapids Symphony, Detroit Dance City Festival and New Dances Chicago. He has had the privilege to perform historic and contemporary works by notable choreographers such as Bob Fosse, Ann Reinking, Sybil Shearer, Lucas Crandall, Brian Enos, Kristina Isabelle, Autumn Eckman, Julie Blume, Lizzie Mackenzie, Lauren Edson, Shawn T Bible, Kangseok Lee and more.
Brandon is currently the Artistic Director and Co-Owner of The Dance Company Conservatory, as well as the Founder and Artistic Director of The Bluewater Dance Theatre. Previously, he served as Assistant Director of ArtLabJ and Director of ArtLabJ II. Brandon has been a teacher/choreographer for over 13 years, having created many professional and student-level works throughout Michigan and Illinois. He has presented his choreography at New Dances Chicago, Dance Chance, Trip the Light, Detroit Dance Race, Detroit Dance City Festival, Novi Dance Collaboration and Oakland Dance Festival.

Juliana Sadowski
Juliana Sadowski is a seasoned dance instructor with over a decade of experience in the industry. Her passion for dance ignited at a young age, as she began her journey in the competitive dance and convention circuit when she was just 10 years old. Since then, Juliana has immersed herself in the world of dance, dedicating her life to teaching and inspiring others through the art form. In addition to her teaching career, Juliana has made a significant impact on the local theater scene in the Port Huron Area. Since 2016, she has choreographed more than 15 musical productions, including performances of Mamma Mia, Footloose, Beauty and the Beast and more.
Juliana's talents have not gone unnoticed in the competitive dance world. Her choreography has consistently received recognition and acclaim at various competitions. Throughout her career, she has been honored with multiple choreography awards, demonstrating her ability to create captivating and innovative routines that stand out among the best. With her wealth of knowledge, experience, and unwavering passion for dance, Juliana Sadowski continues to make a profound impact on the dance community. Katie Markel
Originally from Port Huron, Katie began her early training at The Dance Company Conservatory, Inc. While training at the Dance Company, Katie danced competitively with her studio as well as annually performing in the Nutcracker Ballet Theater's, The Nutcracker. Katie continued her dance training at Oakland University where she was awarded a four year dance scholarship. During her time at Oakland University, Katie performed with Oakland Dance Theater and Oakland University Repertory Dance Company. While completing her B.A. in Performing Arts Dance, Katie taught at Eisenhower Dance Center and The Community House Ballet and Jazz school, both based in Birmingham, MI. Katie is currently living in the Blue Water Area and teaching dance at the Dance Company Conservatory, Inc; where it all began for her.
Katie Katrinic
Katie K began dancing ballet and tap at the age of 6 with Karen’s Dance Studio in Pennsylvania. At the age of 7 she moved to Michigan where she continued training and competed in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip-hop with The Dance Company Conservatory Incorporated. Katie studied at Wayne State University and has preformed and assisted in multiple community productions with the Bluewater Dance Theatre, The Nutcracker Ballet Theatre Company, and Port Huron Civic Theatre. Katie believes dance is more than just technique, it’s an expression of who you are and who you want to be.
Julia Perry
Julia Perry began her dance training at age 6. When she was 13, she began attending The Dance Company Conservatory where she trained in lyrical, ballet, contemporary, jazz and hip-hop. Julia has been playing guitar and singing at church since she was 12 and has also helped with the youth band at church. She has been in choir since she was 14, and has been involved in theater from age 11-15. She works in the recreation department at Port Huron KOA and helps lead activities for the kids that camp there. She really enjoys teaching kids and wants to help students find their passion for dance. Julia currently is an assistant instructor for the DCC Competition Program and assistant director to the Bluewater Dance Theatre's production of "The Wizard of Oz."
Skylee Barr
Skylee Barr has dedicated 15 years to mastering a diverse range of dance styles including contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, pointe, and tap. For the past 9 years, she has been a key member of The Dance Company Conservatory's competitive team. Skylee's passion for dance extends to teaching; she has been an assistant teacher for 4 years and an instructor for 2 years, guiding aspiring dancers with her expertise. Skylee has also performed with Bluewater Dance Theatre and is a proud graduate of Port Huron Northern High School.
